TWIG: |
|
 |
It's a twig!
Try to hold back your excitement, I know
I have. I bought this twig from a supermarket two years ago, it bursts in to
leaf in summer and they fall off in winter, to be honest I've been waiting
for it to die so I can use the pot again. |

|
|
 |
I can't remember what it's
actually meant to be, possibly a red current, or a black current, or was it
a loganberry, heck, no Idea. You've seen those lovely pictures of a very
upright single stem fruit laden mini tree . . . well this is mine, and it's
not given me anything other that backache moving it around. Hmm, just
thought, perhaps it's the bamboo cane I'm growing! Anyway, last chance
twiggy. |

March 17th Life perhaps? |

March 23rd Oh yes. |

May 4th
We've gone a bit bushy! |

May 13th
My my Twig, how you've blossomed.
It's a berry of some type judging by the swelling flower, I recon a
Blackberry. |

Or a raspberry? there's just a hint of
red. |

June 14 Twig gives birth and now we know . . .
|
|
|
|
 |
It's a raspberry. At last, it's taken two years from when I planted the mystery stick in a pot, I knew it was a fruit, I just couldn't remember what.
Diligently I've been cutting of the side shoots, forcing it to grow upward, it never really took shape but now my efforts have been rewarded.
Can I eat it?
Oh Yes. |
