LUFFA : Started 16th April

Hands up who thought a Luffa started off as a sea cucumber?

Yes its a plant, a type of gourd actually . . . and yes I did know that and . . . no you can't eat it. I just want to try and make one.

A few days later and their hatching.

April 30th

Hey hey, it's up and running (not literally)

May 14

Hello world, here I am. I'm green and looking for love.

June 14

I've been a bit lax with the Luffa, it's a slow grower and just plods along.

June 30

Spotted, a flower.

June 30

Things are happening in the garden today, the luffa plant has blossomed, ok, it's a bit shy I admit but it's there tucked away under a leaf.

July 4

The flower wilts, I'm making an assumption that if it got fertilised that the plump part behind the flower will turn in to a luffa?

July 5

Is it me or has the Luffa put on weight?
