LEMON TOMATO: 17th February

Lemon Tomato, which one is it you wonder as do I. It looks like a lemon but inside it looks like a tomato, I think it's more tomato than lemon or was it the other way around.

Only time will tell (making a rash assumption it will grow), keep tuned.

Opened and potted. 24th February

A show of hands please, ah, there you are.

26th February

What a difference a couple of days make.
I want to call these 'The Supremes' but somebody will notice there's four of them.

April 15th

The lemon tomato steps out, not that it had any choice mind you, I put them there!

April 21st

Devastation, despite being covered with wire mesh the cats still managed to dig up the plants, three times this has happened now.

I had to resort to planting out the last two plants from in doors, you can see the difference, I had been holding back but needs must. I've staked out the plot with bamboo sticks to make it uncomfortable for the cats. May 4th All is not well, the two lush plants are now shadows of their former selves, week and spindly, they don't show any signs of being eaten. perhaps the conditions are wrong.

May 24

Nature never fails to amaze me at times,
I was sure these were on there way to the compost heap but no, there fighting back.
