CHILLI:

This is Naga Jolokia, or Bhut Jolokia, Ghost Chili, Naga Morich, it has many names but I call it Nigel

It is the
HOTTEST CHILLI PEPPER in the world, and I've been given one by Chilli Pete. He's a nice man (I think)

Peek-a-boo: March 5th

Just when you've given up hope something slaps you on the bottom and it's not the neighbours wife, the chilli's are here.

March 15th:

Slow but steady progress. 5 seedlings in all.

March 25th

Ten days have passed and we're taking shape

May 26

Nigel hadn't been doing to well, three seedlings were placed outside and they stayed seedlings, no growth at all, nothing, not a sausage. I have a very limited supply of seeds and so I've separated the plants in to three pots, one of which I brought indoors again, time will tell.

JUST
HOW
HOT
Chilli heat is measured in Scoville Heat Units (SHU), the hottest according to the The Guinness Book of Records is a Red Savina habaņero with a rating of 570,000 units.

Naga has now beaten this with a whooping
923,000SHUs, in comparison Tabasco sauce is a mere 2,500 units.

July 4

Here's The Hot Bunch. it's been a while since my last update but Mr Naga is doing well but only inside. the smaller plant at the front is outside grown and as you can see, it's a bit wimpy.
