Strawberry |
June 23rd:
Another market purchase, £1 each strawberries, this was the best of the
bunch, it had a flower!
Potted in to a larger pot we'll see if it will bear fruit or send out
runners, either will be fine as I think they last up to 3 years but I could
be wrong but runners give me more plants. |

June 28th:
Is that a strawberry I see before me?
Well almost, it shows promise. |
July 7th:
Our first! This must be
one of the smallest strawberries I've ever seen. |
July 10th:
I have some suspicions about this plant, the fruit seems to ripen before it
plumps up which leads me to suspect that its a wild strawberry rather than a
more common commercial version. If this is the case then were looking at
small, sweet berries and the Mrs can confirm that . . . she ate it! |

In conclusion |
Not a failure as such,
more of a disappointment. If I do a strawberry next year I think we're going
to have to find something more on the unusual side. Suggestions welcome |
