| Sweet Peppers |

 |
June 1st:
Sweet peppers bought cheap from local Wilkinson's supermarket at £1.49 for
50 seeds. I attempted to
grow these last year with a small amount of success (one pepper) the rest
turned purple, shrivel up and died (not unlike a distant aunt I had).

June 21st:
Using my home-made propagator (two old supermarket fruit cartons) I
sprinkled the seeds with gay abandon, that means in a carefree fashion
before you say anything. Sure enough, seven days later a week had passed. |

 |
 |
 |
In true 'here's one I prepared
earlier' fashion - four peppers in a bucket, and another two in
plastic milk bottles. Ok, why two milk bottles, I'll tell you, it's an
experiment, one will just get the usual neglect I specialise in whilst the
other will be treated to some Tomato food that many recommend, just to see
what happens. |

July 12th:
Ahhh I'm being attacked. |

August 10th:
On the starting blocks.
Looks like the peppers are about to flower. The biggest plant is only a foot
high, I'm sure last year they were 3 times this size? |

 |
 |
Will it? won't it? Turn in to a pepper
that is?. Just how many question marks can I get in a sentance? |

 |
August 27th:
Is this my first pepper? you know, I think it is. My concern is that the
plant is only 12 inches tall. |
|
 |
Sept 3rd:
This is more like it, about an inch high now. |
 |
 |
Sept 24th:
A little disappointed to be honest,
their about the size of golf balls and still green, I have a feeling their
going to be moved inside soon. Oh yes, just two peppers. |
