Chilli

August 11th: A man comes bearing gifts!

A very good friend of mine attended a Chilli event today and recorded some audio for his internet show, he was presented with a chilli plant which he accepted (thankfully)
from a company called 'Fear the Chilli'. My friend is better with microphones than plants and passed it on to me . . . so that it might live!

This particular type is known as Priarie Fire and rates quite highly on the 'Youch' ratings. It's a small plant but is abundant with chillies, easy to grow apparently and should supply fruit all summer long, let's see if I can keep it going and experiment with the crop! Special thanks to www.fearthechilli.com

August 27th: Chillies drying in the summer sun. These little darlings are far to hot for my mild taste and so I'm going to make some sort of dried version for cooking.
The last picture shows what might be chilli seeds growing, I stuck a couple in a pot with a another plant, didn't expect anything to happen, seems I was wrong!

Sept 3rd:

It worked, the chilli seeds actually grew and their mother is just feet away, ahhh.

Sept 24th:

The children grow up so quickly don't they!

September 24th: For next year

This is Naga Jolokia, or Bhut Jolokia, Ghost Chili, Naga Morich, it has many names but I call it Nigel

It is the
HOTTEST CHILLI PEPPER in the world, and I've been given one by Chilli Pete. He's a nice man (I think)
