It's a cucumber (I'm assured), grows to the size of an apple, was popular in Victorian times (allegedly) and should end up looking like something the picture on the right (again allegedly).
Using the latest in the designer seed trays - yes I know there chocolate muffin boxes - they are lovingly shoved in and buried.

Five days later and what's this I see, it isn't a muffin plant that's for sure.

Plus 2 days and we've popped out.

I moved these outside at the end
of March and they just disappeared, gone, not even a forwarding address.
