My total gardening knowledge comes from the back of a seed packet, it sometimes pays to read it twice!
I didn't realise the single seed was actually germinated already, and I do mean sprouting . . . . and I left it in the packet for 4 weeks.
I hastily put together some dirt and sand to a consistency I would call 'gritty' and bedded in the seed, sprouty bit upwards.
April 23rd : Sorry, coffee's off.
It looks like it's dead, the
sticky out bit has been pointing up in the air for weeks and then it
occurred that perhaps it should be sticking down, I've turned it over and
put it in 'lost hope corner' just in case.
And now . . . a word from our
sponsors.
OK, there're not really sponsoring me but they did send me a free catalogue
so worth a mention.
